Travis Cleon Hockett

A Graveside inurnment for Travis Cleon Hockett, 89, Overland Park, KS, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Hesper Friends Cemetery, 2355 N 1100 Rd, Eudora, KS 66025. Travis passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at his residence.

Travis was born March 26, 1936, at home in Esbon, KS, the son of Forrest C. and Ollie May (Lewis) Hockett. He married Grace Watson on April 1, 1956, and she survives at home. Other survivors include his daughters, Nedra (Kent) Salisbury, Karla (Eric) Grisham, two grandchildren, Nicholas (Christina) Grisham, Emily (Alex) Masek, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Velma Jobe, and Ardith Cook.

The family suggests memorials in Travis’s name to Camp Quaker Haven or Hesper Friends Church and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044.
