Virginia Dolezal

Virginia Kaspar Dolezal, 93, passed away December 21st, 2011 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Virginia was born March 11, 1918 in Wilson, KS the daughter of Georgia and Emil Kaspar.  She was a 1940 graduate of the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy.

She married Joseph F. Dolezal in 1940; they owned and operated the Zeman Pharmacy in Wilson, KS. After closing the pharmacy in the mid-1970s, she was a part-time pharmacist at several pharmacies in northeast Kansas before retiring in 1999.

She is survived by one son, Jeff and wife Linda Dolezal, Topeka, KS.; a daughter Marcia and husband David Wewers, Shawnee, KS.; three granddaughters: Megan Moran, New York, NY; Mandy Dolezal, Lawrence, KS; and Marcy Dolezal, also of Lawrence, KS; and her former daughter-in-law, Sandra Dolezal, Sunrise Beach MO.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Pioneer Ridge Health Center for their care of Virginia.

Graveside services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, December 27th at the Wilson City Cemetery, Wilson, KS.
