Vivian Marie Caughey

A Memorial Service for Vivian Marie Caughey, 71, Lawrence, KS will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS. Vivian passed away October 27, 2025, at The Windsor of Lawrence.

Vivian was born November 1, 1953, in Fort Benning, GA, the daughter of William O. and Doris (Faulkner) Bradford II.

Vivian married Grant Caughey on July 21, 1973, in Topeka, KS, and he survives at home.

Other survivors include her father, William O. Bradford II, sons, Matthew Bradford (Brittany) Caughey, Eric Scott (Sarah) Caughey, sister, Rebecca (Jimmy) Blalock, four grandchildren, Bradford, Charlotte, Lydia, and Ethan.

Vivian was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Bradford.

Vivian served as a School Nurse for over 20 years, was a KU Alumni with a Masters in Health Education and was a certified Reiki Master and a Breast Cancer Survivor.

She healed those around her with kindness and care. She healed bruises, mended broken bones and broken hearts and touched so many lives. Restoring and maintaining the health of her patients, friends, and family.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted wife, cherished daughter and sister, aunt and priceless friend. She will be missed dearly.

Memorial contributions may be made in Vivian’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Plymouth Congregational Church, in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
