William Millar

Funeral service for William A. Millar, 81, Lawrence will be held 3 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  Interment will take place 10 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2008 at Oak Hill Cemetery.   He has been a resident of Lawrence since 1947.

Mr. Millar died on February 6, 2009 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 10, 1927 in Liverpool, England the son of James and Isabella Floyd Millar.

Mr. Millar was a partner of Miller Furniture until 1961.  He then worked 23 years at Schering-Plough Inc. where he was a medical representative.

He married Sybil Klamm on August 13, 1950 in Fairmount, KS.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include, two daughters, Pamela Causey, and husband, Nathanael, Huntsville, Alabama, Victoria DeKnight, and husband, David, McKinney, Texas; six grandchildren, Hillary, Meghan, Zachary, Emelie, Elijah, Olivia; one step-granddaughter, Sharon; and two great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Lewy Body Dementia Association and sent in care of the mortuary.
